Elven leader of Sylvenor
Sylvenor, a camp of the wilds, is nestled deep in the forest some 50 miles northeast of Waterdeep, and is a sanctuary for the good peoples of the races of Faerun who aren’t commonly accepted by most of society. The occasional tiefling, orc, firbolg, or even goblin will pass through, seeking shelter, guidance, or sometimes training in the ways of surviving the world, a service Archdruidess Mirel or her companions are all too happy to oblige, for a price. The camp is to be kept secret from the common races unless absolutely necessary, and some kind of knowledge must be shared to those within, such as how to craft a tool, perform an art, the latest news out of Waterdeep, or perhaps even the secret of a ruler.
The Archdruidess has a kind heart and welcoming soul. The elf has traveled much of the world, but fifty years ago, seeing the unnecessary suffering of many races, she created the sanctuary to be a safe haven. What started as only a tent housing Mirel and a companion all those years ago, has turned into a small village with trainers of most professions, skills, and many trades. Sylvenor is surrounded by a feywild which serves to keep the village hidden and to provide protection. It’s said of Sylvenor, “It may only be found by those who know where it is.” Rumors of its existence have made it to the common world, but it’s only ever been that. Anyone who attempts to follow someone in hopes of finding the camp will typically find themselves, due to fey enchantments, soon forgetting why they had entered the forest and have a strong desire to travel to Waterdeep to “get away from it all.”
